Music of the 1920's
The most popular type of music in the 1920's was jazz music, and Orchestras. Jazz moved from New Orleans in the US and Became popular by such musicians as Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong. Orchestras were popular entertainment at parties and function, as well as shows and theater productions. Music was frequently played over the radio. The Music of Canada has reflected the diverse influences that have shaped the country, most of the music has been influenced by American Culture. The earliest jazz musicians in Canada were of U.S origin. The 1920's was considered a jazz decade.
